A woman with shoulder-length dark hair and a septum piercing smiling at the camera, seated on a green chair inside a room with posters on the wall behind her.

About

Shasha Du (she/they) is a Bay Area based designer, photographer, and storyteller who believes that compelling design lives at the intersection of strategy, typography, and visual design. She loves to play with duality in her work, exploring the liminal space between classical and contemporary, serious and playful, minimalist and ornate. As a photographer, Shasha tells stories that dissolve the boundaries between us and the earth, often capturing scenes of queer pleasure and liberation in connection with the natural world. Shasha holds a M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she explored the role of awe & wonder in learning, and design as a force for social change. Last but not least, Shasha is a music lover who sings in a choir and writes about music on Substack
